Contest – Ask Mr. Fashion Advice Man
Posted by Drinky Crow on June 29th, 2009Mr. Fashion Advice Man has spoken. After poring over your entries, he has chosen the best fashion-related questions, all of which he will answer to the best of his ability this Friday, July 10.
In first place: Meggie J for her question, “Is it okay to rock more than one eye popping accessory? ie. big hair bow and a bright coloured bag, or statement making jacket and coloured skinny jeans.”
In second, Bryan Basolo for asking, “Is it ever ok for a man to wear cap sleeved half shirt with cut off jean shorts… so short the pockets hang out the bottom?”
And third placed Michelle Freeman couldn’t help but wonder, “When is it okay to wear a beanie with an outfit and still look fashionable?”
For her efforts, Meggie J wins the autographed Veronicas poster; Bryan and Michelle will each get CD prize packs. The following runners-up will also get something, most likely a CD. We’ll figure it out.

If my skinny jeans are too long, is it better if I tuck them into my shoes (converse low tops) or roll them up?

When ripping jeans is there a good way to rip them with scissors and is there any other place to rip them other than the knees thats not to showing?
What sort of colors look unique and awesome together? Like completey different colors such as orange and purple that makes you look very stylish not like you are color blind?

How short is too short for the length of someone’s pants? Should one be able to see the top of one’s shoe laces? Also, are capris acceptable for men to wear (when not on vacation to a tropical destination)?
Shoes! I love them yet don’t want to have so many. Are there a few perfect shoes that a female can own that go with as many things as possible? Also, colours…other than black.
I’m very proud of the folks at Lululemon and what they have accomplished but why do I see young women going to work in the business district wearing these yoga pants paired with a dress shirt (and no doubt tucked into a pair of UGGS!!)? This is not what “business casual” refers to. Is this bitchy to frown upon such a lack of taste?

If you were to wear cowboy boots with dresses what is a good length of dress to wear? One that goes over the boots, barely reaches, etc. Also should the dress over power the boots or vice versa or work with each other?
