The Fiery Furnaces at the Red Room, Vancouver, Nov 17 2009

The Red Room may not be much of a venue, but when it turns on the laser lights, watch out. Especially when it's a heavenly bill for indie-rock stargazers who appreciate smashing frontwomen. We know we're not the only ones—incredibly, someone from the normally staid Vancouver audience gifts the Fiery Furnaces'Eleanor Friedberger with a huge bouquet of flowers. Personally, we think Cryptacize's Nedelle Torrisi was just as deserving. Melissa Skoda gets it all on digital.
